 コロンビア大学へ行って、Saint John the Divine　へ行きます。Saint John the Divineはコロンビア大学の近くです。１１２ちょうめにあります。Saint John the Divineはとてもふるくて、ゆうめいなきょうかいです。Saint John the Divineのにわの中に Peace Fountain があります。Peace Fountain はおそろしいスタチューで、あまりきれいじゃありません。カメラをもってきてください。

コロンビア大学へいって、Saint John the Divine　へいって、しょくじします。コロンビア大学の近くにたくさんレストランがあります。レストランで Thai Market はいちばん好きです。１０７ちょうめにあります。しょくじはあまりやすくないですが、おいしいです。それから Central Park へ行きます。Central Park で自転車にのったり、つりをしたり、テニスをしたりすることができます。つりをしたことがありますか。わたしはありません。時々コンサートがあります。いつも Central Park はとてもにぎやかです。

About Communication

From this podcast project, my main goal is to learn more about Japanese culture and, more specifically, their horror genre, through the making of one of our own horror movies. I also wish to learn new vocabulary and grammar and to learn how to make a short video/podcast as I have never done that before. Through this podcast, our group hopes to convey our message about perfection and to do this, we need to be able to communicate effectively with the audience.

One barrier to this communication would be the language barrier. As we are filming a horror podcast, we would be using a lot of new vocabulary (suicide, death, etc). While we would be either providing a vocabulary list or putting subtitles for new words, we hope to mainly convey our thoughts and feelings through our facial and body movements. Facial expressions and gestures are mostly universal and are great tools for communication. Expressions of shock, fear, anger, and sadness are understood by everyone.

We also need to make sure our message is simple and understandable. It needs to be easily communicated to the audience via our script. If it's too convoluted, it would be hard for our both our classmates and the Japanese speaking audience to understand. For example, we didn't make our message that clear through our podcast proposal and we could tell that some commenters completely missed what we wanted to convey.

私の好きな物

私は中国の歌が好きです。とくに古い歌が好きです。中国の古い歌はとてもきえいで、にぎやかです。こどものころ (when I was a child)　いつも古い歌をききました。私は "茉莉花" (Jasmine Flower) がいしばん好きです。

かしゅ (singer)　は "宋祖英" (Song Zuying)　です。このビデオは２００６に Kennedy Center でとりますた。すごいですね！

私はChinese Harpをひきますから、とても古いおんがくがひきます。Chinese Harp　がとても好きです。２００５からひきます。Chinese Harpはやすくて、おもしろいインストルメントです。でも、今時間がありませんから、ひきません。夏休み、ひきます。
